Meet Me Tonight 2017

Meet Me Tonight 2017

This weekend – 29th and 30th September – find out more about our research at the Meet Me Tonight 2017 edition!

You will find a stand called Il sole in una scatola: scopriamo la fisica dei plasmi where you will have the chance to discover plasmas with simple and interactive experiments (29/09 and 30/09, Giardini Indro Montanelli, Milan). The stand is organized by Politecnico di Milano and Istituto di Fisica del Plasma IFP-CNR, also in collaboration with some researchers of the ENSURE team. Learn more on our stand here and here.

Matteo Passoni will briefly present the ENSURE project at the Champions League: una campione della ricerca ogni 4 minuti event (29/09 at 19:00, Museo Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, Milan). Link

Alessandro Maffini will take part to a roundtable about his work with other researchers at the Parla con me event (30/09 at 16:00, Giardini Indro Montanelli, Milan). Link

Two ENSURE papers selected as 2016 Highlights

Two papers supported by the ENSURE project were among the articles that have generated a particular interest in the community and with the referees during 2016 and have therefore been included in the annual Highlights collection of their respective journal. You can read and download them for free at the following links.

I. Prencipe et al., “Development of foam-based layered targets for laser-driven ion beam production”, Plasma Phys. Control. Fusion 58 034019 (2016)

A. Maffini et al., “Laser cleaning of diagnostic mirrors from tungsten–oxygen tokamak-like contaminants”, Nucl. Fusion 56 086008 (2016)
